I just heard that Goebel the manufacturers of Hummel pieces is closing their doors, anyone know if its true?

I was just in a shop downtown and heard the Goebel was closing it's doors due to the poor economy. They won't even be making their Thai editions of the Berta Hummel products. Does anyone know if that is true? Is anyone out there from Rodantel Bavaria Germany who knows if this is so. Thank you.
